At lunchtime on July 9th there had been landed 743 salmon in Norðurá river. The recent salmon runs have been strong and the last three groups of anglers caught respectively 112, 115 and 119 salmon. These are extremely high numbers.
A great number have already reached the inland areas. Some salmon have been caught in the pool Poki near Króksfoss as well as all over the valley. Below Laxfoss and down to the Munaðarnes area there are a lot of salmon and strong fresh runs have been arriving.
The outlook is good and expectations are high for a very good summer for angling.
