Happy New Year to all anglers.
Winter has arrived in Iceland after an autumn with flooding and mild weather we now have deep snow and frost.

There is optimism for the coming angling season due to various factors. There is a scientific theory that following two warm summers the smolt that runs to sea is sturdy and able to survive. Conditions in the ocean also have a big impact.
With rising sun the excitement keeps growing until the beginning of summer. Now people are looking into angling books and keeping warm by memories from summers passed and experience from the river bank.
